Situation: On the beach front under the Aguamarina Hotel and apartments in Golf Del Sur : Tel 922-738-439

The term “Nawaab” literally means viceroy or representative of Royalty. In 1947, the Indian Subcontinent had 528 principalities each of which
had its own ruler – The Nawaab. A Nawaab enjoyed a lavish lifestyle.
They were patrons of the arts, architecture, martial arts, horsemanship,
beautiful gardens and flowers, poetry and last but not least exquisite
food and wine. The head waiter Mario welcomes you to his restaurant and will endeavour to treat you like a Nawaab.

Ambiance : The restaurant is tastefully decorated with a lovely old wooden bar and the aroma of apples from the water pipe, which customers are invited to try, it is non addictive apple flavoured smoke.Tables are all set with lovely red and white table cloths and you can sit either inside seats 40 or outside seats 50 all with views over the Atlantic ocean. The kitchen is at the back and can be seen into to allow you to watch head chef Sanallh and his staff at work.Toilets were clean

Service: On sitting you are presented with Popadom and  a choice of three dips and then offered drinks of your choice followed by their main menu. The staff are helpful and happy to advise, and will try and speak to you in whatever language you happen to be speaking. Mario the head man seems to be there every time we go in he never seems to have a night off. They carry an extensive wine list with a feature being Canarian wine along with the better know ones.

Food: We have enjoyed all we have ever had at this restaurant and have tried many of the dishes, To start we normally have one portion of the ChickenPakora and one of the Tandoori Chicken Tikka, to follow I like the NawaabSpecial  it contains King prawn, lamb and chicken that with some Pilau Rice rice and a Garlic Nan. My Wife likes the Chicken Dansak  which is cooked with mild spices, pineapple & lentils at.We are normally too stuffed to have a sweet but they do a large selection of both English and Indian. They also have a wide range of vegetarian dishes and all the breads are made on site.

Overall: We both like it and its close to our home, we have tried others in the area but for my money I like the Newaab where you are treated like a prince with both the food and the service. If you like Indian you wont go wrong at this restaurant. They also do a carry out service with free delivery within the Golf.
